30 hours free childcare meeting

Friday, 28th April 2017
14:00- 15:00

A number of nurseries have contacted me to raise concerns over the Government's proposals to increase free childcare to 30 hours per week.

The Government has proposed this new approach as it will end the current unfair system, giving organisations providing early years care the financial support they need to deliver the 30-hour free childcare offer to working families. Whilst a number of nurseries and parents have contacted me in support of the plans, some childcare providers have also contacted me to raise their concerns.

I have therefore organised a group meeting for all childcare providers to offer the opportunity to discuss concerns. The meeting will be held at Sarisbury Green Community Centre on Friday 28th April from 2.00-3.00pm in the River Room.

If you would like to attend, or have any questions, please email my Constituency Assistant, Sarah Child, at sarah.child@parliament.uk, who will be happy to assist.

Please note that this meeting is for childcare providers only.
